Precast concrete steps are made in a variety of widths to accommodate the size you need for your entry. The concrete steps can be also purchased in 6", 7", and 8" heights with the 3' width only. This will help you to achieve the proper footstep when the height of the porch varies. As a rule of thumb, you should measure the top of your porch to the sidewalk. For example, let's assume that this distance is 21" from top to bottom. Thus, it would require two steps 7 inches high with a two step riser to provide the proper stepping.
